Born and raised in Chicago Illinois, Eli Schmidt has been taking pictures since he was a freshman in high school. Upon graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2001, he moved to New York to pursue a career in photography. Eli’s candid documentary style , technical training and love of photo history remain recognizable characteristics of his work today.Eli works across the genres of fashion, documentary, celebrity and advertising photography for magazines including T:The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, W, and Interview . He also collaborates with commercial clients such as Redken, Perry Ellis, Carolina Herrera and Marc Jacobs Beauty.
